JAMIE KESSLER

I have always been passionate about education. While I was studying child development at Sacramento City College, I began working at the Child Development Center at UC Davis. This is where my passion for the Montessori philosophy began. I graduated from the Montessori Teachers College of Sacramento in June 2000. After moving back down to the Central Coast in 2002, where I was born and raised, I taught for 8 years in San Luis Obispo. I began working at Children’s House in September of 2010. My first 6 years were spent as the support teacher in our Upper Elementary classroom. I then moved to the Kindergarten classroom in 2016. Watching my students grow both socially and intellectually is truly rewarding. I enjoy watching their curiosity, independence, and love of learning soar through daily activities both in and out of the classroom. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors camping, traveling, listening to live music, and of course spending time at the beach as much as possible!
