Welcome CHMS families to another amazing year at CHMS. This my second year as Upper Elementary Head teacher. Last year was amazing with a fantastic class and wonderful field trips to Catalina and Washington D.C. This year is looking to be just as fabulous.

I stumbled into teaching over 20 years ago and haven't looked back since. My plans had been to be a science researcher, but as often happens, plans change and wonderful things happen. As it turns out, teaching is an amazing adventure. I have worked in the classrooms spanning from toddlers to junior college and have loved it all.

Though this is my second year as UE head teacher, I have been part of the CHMS family for much longer, over a decade. I have welcomed children into CHMS as Toddlers when I was in the Toddler room with Jen. This year, I will be seeing those same children graduate out of UE. It is a beautiful experience to be a part of. I am grateful to be surrounded by an amazing community of children, families and coworkers here at CHMS.
