My interest in Montessori started in the mid 90s, when my two nieces were enrolled in Children’s House and I had two young children of my own. I loved the respect, creativity and independence the Montessori philosophy fostered in my nieces and became intrigued. In May 1996, I was offered a position as Administrative Assistant for the Montessori World Educational Institute. At that time, MWEI was housed here at Children's House, and Korey was (and still is) on the board of directors. I also enrolled my then two-year-old son, Sam, in the toddler class. So began my journey! As the years went by, I began to work for both MWEI and Children's House. In 2000, Korey hired me to work exclusively for Children's House and MWEI moved to Cambria.

My office management and computer skills stem from my background in banking and technology studies in college. I’m now the Assistant Director and Webmaster, among many other things! I truly love my job and enjoy working with both parents and children alike.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, gardening, playing video games, drawing, and spending time with my adult children, Rosalind and Sam and their partners. I also enjoy the company of my cat, Phoebe.
