I grew up in the Central Valley where I lived most of my life. Since I was young, I knew I wanted to become a teacher to make a difference in the lives of other children just like me.

While studying early childhood education in college I was introduced to Montessori for the first time. After receiving my degree in Child Development, I wanted to dive deeper into Montessori education, so I enrolled in Montessori courses at the Montessori World Educational Institute. It was during that time when I began working as a teacher at a local Montessori school. I spent the next several years in the toddler and primary classrooms, and learned more about the Montessori curriculum and environment.

In 2005, my experience, work ethic, and the desire to lead earned me a director role for a preschool and K-8th grade Before and After School Program at a local elementary school. Then in 2011, my passion for Montessori education brought me back to the Montessori school where I first began teaching. I worked my way up to become the school director until I relocated to the central coast in the summer of 2019.

I live in Morro Bay with my husband, Jeremiah, and our Australian Shepherd Howard. We enjoy going for walks on the beach, hiking, camping, and weekend getaways together. In my spare time I love morning runs on the beach, trails and on the road.

This is my second year at Children's House Montessori School and my first year in the kindergarten with Jamie. I am very thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful school where I can continue to learn and work alongside an amazing staff.
